In August of 1995, Lee and Mike Burns opened the newly remodeled, smoke-free Painless Steel Tattooing and Body Piercing Studio in Missoula, Montana. In March of 1996, after being open only 7 months, the studio was named "Best Tattooing Parlor" by a write-in poll in the Missoula Independent newspaper.
