In August of 1992, Lee Burns opened the newly remodeled, smoke-free Painless Steel Tattoo and Body Piercing Studio in Missoula, Montana. In March of 1996, after being open only 7 months, the studio was named "Best Tattooing Parlor" by a write-in poll in the Missoula Independent newspaper.

Opened and designed by owner and Missoula native Lee Burns, Painless Steel has become synonymous with quality, cleanliness and artistry in the rapidly growing world of body art.
