Basic
Body Piercing Care
For
all non-oral or external piercings, use Aftercare (TM)
piercing solution. If this proves to be too harsh, you can also
use a non-fragrant hypo-allergenic antibacterial soap such as Dial
(TM). A mixture of sea salt and water (2 TBSP to one quart water)
can also be used, although we do not recommend the exclusive use
of sea salts as a cleanser.
Use
an antibiotic ointment after cleaning for 2-3 days then discontinue
any ointments. Allergies can develop and your body will quit producing
it's own antibodies due to prolonged ointment use. Vitamin E oil
or Tea tree oil may be used in it's place. NEVER USE ALCOHOL OR
PEROXIDE since they destroy new tissue growth and prolong the healing
process. To clean your piercings, start by removing all secretion
buildup (which comes from all new piercings). Never turn the jewelry
