Basic Body Piercing Care

For all non-oral or external piercings, use Aftercare (TM) piercing solution. If this proves to be too harsh, you can also use a non-fragrant hypo-allergenic antibacterial soap such as Dial (TM). A mixture of sea salt and water (2 TBSP to one quart water) can also be used, although we do not recommend the exclusive use of sea salts as a cleanser.

Use an antibiotic ointment after cleaning for 2-3 days then discontinue any ointments. Allergies can develop and your body will quit producing it's own antibodies due to prolonged ointment use. Vitamin E oil or Tea tree oil may be used in it's place. NEVER USE ALCOHOL OR PEROXIDE since they destroy new tissue growth and prolong the healing process.
